In what is becoming an eerily familiar pattern, another story<\/a> late last week of a woman forced to having an abortion because the fetus was a female.<\/p>\n Samira (not her real name) agreed to tell her story to The Independent<\/em><\/a> after they had run a series of articles on the skewed gender ratio and gender specific abortions.<\/p>\n From the article,<\/p>\n \u201cSince falling pregnant, I think about it all the time. What\u2019s going to happen? I\u2019m really, really scared. I\u2019m stressed out and I\u2019m having nightmares about bleeding and being beaten up,\u201d Samira said. \u201cI think about running away with her and having the baby somewhere, but the thing is I can\u2019t leave my children with him\u2026 I have my duty to my other children. I can\u2019t leave them for someone who is not born. I don\u2019t want it to happen.\u201d<\/p>\n Samira is a courageous woman who decided to tell her story. Unfortunately, there are many more women faced with similar choices. This is not a problem isolated to the United Kingdom or any one country.
